Tom is a driven, strategic thinker providing clinical experience to operational, commercial and transformational activity across the NHS and wider health and life sciences sector.
2009 – Tom joins the NHS mental health sector as a nurse. Over the next few years, his career would traverse acute, forensic and older adult services.
2011 – Tom leaves full-time practice to work in governance, assurance and regulation of secondary care services
2012 – Tom joins the highly acclaimed NHS Graduate Scheme, marking the start of two years of high-profile change projects, service re-designs and cost improvement programmes – working hand-inglove with regional providers and KPMG. As 2012 draws to a close, Tom is named as a Guardian UK 300 ‘Rising Star’; following which Tom moves to NHS England’s Innovation Team – where he hones his commercial skills and growing international networks.
2014 – Tom gives birth to the Yorkshire and Humber Inspiring Leaders Network – a programme that supports people to think differently, work collaboratively, increase diversity, and build stronger relationships. Created for aspiring leaders and managers NHS-wide, the AHSN has played a pivotal role in sharpening Tom’s commercial and international experience. Over the years and to this date, Tom has enhanced access to emerging innovations and technologies for patients the length and breadth of the Yorkshire and Humber region.
